ARE YOU STILL BUSINESS?
It's been 11 days, without any response or updated information to me directly or on this "SUPPORT" page or on Kickstarter. I understand this is a new product, but communicate with your customers. THIS IS TRULY A DISAPPOINTMENT!
I had high hopes for this product, I have many coworkers who are anxious to see it work (could have been lots of sales) I planned to recommend this to my customers!

I do not want a refund, I want a working SecureSALT card system. At this time my card is just wasting it's battery away while you DO NOTHING TO HELP ME OR YOUR OTHER CUSTOMERS!

My iphone 5 (IOS 8.3) has been able to see my card since the day I received it. However even with the new updated app my phone remains locked (even with the card in range).
Thank you

I have been able to install all the certificates and set up the app but when I try to add the card it can not find it. I followed all the instructions that you listed and still no success. Is there an issue with the card? Please let me know a resolution asap. Thank you

Hey guys!

Erno - Thanks a lot! We'll be revamping the entire SALT website to make sure that it's easy to get everything setup! Also, please feel free to message us if you are still having the PIN issue. We'll get through all the messages by tomorrow night!

Steven - Can you please shoot us a message by clicking the blue "Help" button in the bottom right corner of this screen? We'll be able to go through a few steps with you to make sure everything is setup correctly!

Only thing that it does is it locks the phone when that card is out of range. When card is in range it doesn't do anything. Still entering PIN. Please do list of Q&A it helps us users. Do also troubleshooting quide (or ask one of us to do it for you) and also it would be cool to have instruction on how to get the card working because it seems that such instructions are needed. Maybe it needs to be cheked also if there are apps that might be interfering with the SALT App. Hang in there SALT Team. :)

Hey guys!

We just wanted to give you an update on the SALT App for iOS update that we've been working on! We're currently testing it across multiple devices and making sure that it works properly across the board. It's very close to being completed with only a couple of small fixes that were working on for the iPhone 5s and 5c.

As soon as we're happy with the functionality, we'll get it submitted and post another update for everyone! Thanks a lot for your patience and we're excited to get this next update released!

Thanks again!

SALT Team

Hey guys!

Weng - We'll be working on integrating the SALT Card with the native Smart Lock feature in Lollipop as one of our next updates! We're excited to also be including the option to still show the keyguard from within the SALT App as well!

Omar - Can you please message us by clicking the blue "Help" or "Chat" button in the bottom right corner of this screen? We'll be glad to make sure that everything is setup correctly for you!

Milan - We just responded to your message from our support email! Please let us know if you didn't receive it!

Thanks and let us know if you have any other questions!

Can you please advise how I can get a refund for this product. Despite the numerous updates and attempts to get it to work, unfortunately this is one of those items which will never work as described. It is evident from multiple user comments that this item was not fit for industry standard and had not completed rigorous testing prior to being dispatched. I would therefore like a full refund including the postage cost, please let me know how I can proceed. Thank you

I finally received my SALT card the other day. I was so excited to get everything installed and working. Well my excitement was short lived b/c in less than a minute I went from being excited to frustration to ultimately rage!!!
Some background:
I have and LG G3 with Verizon, it's not rooted, and it's running Jelly Bean 5.0.1(stock ROM). App install and the "Add new card" both worked
Once I enabled the app my phone went into a lock/screen shut off loop. No matter what I did I couldn't get back into my phone. I literally had to restart my phone into safe mode so i could remove the SALT app. Once I uninstalled the app my phone went back to normal.
For testing purposes I tried installing the app again 2 more time and the same exact lock/screen shut off loop happened.
So happy I waited a year

Hey guys!

We just wanted to let everyone know that there is an even newer Android version that was released just a little bit ago. It's version number 1.0.247 in the Play Store. You'll know it's the correct version because you'll see that version number in the top right corner of the main SALT App screen. It fixes some of the small bugs that we've been informed about from the last release including a fix for the people that have had issues with adding their cards!

As always, please message us by clicking the blue "Help" or "Chat" button in the bottom right corner of this screen if you have any bugs to report! That way we can get them fixed as soon as possible!

kirk - Those are set automatically for you based on your device. If the locking isn't working correctly, we wanted to be able to change the method easily through our troubleshooting process so we added that option in the settings overview.

Alan - We're only using the certificates to lock your device when it needs to be locked and to make sure that the SALT App is installed on your device. We don't collect any other information at all and we don't share anything with anyone outside of SALT. Please feel free to message us if you'd like to talk about the certificates!

Thanks!

Mark, Steven and Mary, Jordi, Enrique, Jillian, Rakesh and Randy - We're glad we were able to talk and solve some of the issues via the blue "Help" or "Chat" button in the bottom right corner of this screen. Please feel free to message us again if you need anything else!

Adam Cain - We'll be introducing that feature into one of the next updates of the SALT App! We just want to make sure we get all the basic functionality working reliably across all devices. Once we confirm that, the distance feature will be added in the next update!

Adam Storm - Good point! We'll be including a check to make sure that Bluetooth is turned on in one of the next updates. That should help out!

Hey, so I keep having the same problem as Andrews and Beaton. The card will connect fine, but after a cycle of SALT checking to see if the card is still nearby, my phone will lock. I've tried reconnecting it 3 times now, and even removed my card and readded it twice, still the same problem. I'm not really doing anything in those 30 seconds either, just sitting at my desk trying to use my phone so it's not like I'm moving away from my card.

While it seems like common sense, I found myself overlooking the fact that Bluetooth had to be activated on your phone. If you received your card and following the instructions just doesn't work, make sure your Bluetooth is activated on your phone! It's understandable that Salt didn't explicitly instruct you to turn on Bluetooth since it's so obvious, but I happened to miss it haha.

First, just received cards... should have known better than to use USPS.

Second, followed all instructions according to "March" update and instructions. Phone/app doesn't detect card or something. Have to keep unlocking it manually and getting "Your Salt Card is out of range" message. Same thing as most people.

I am not quite sure what to do now. The dependability factor is suffering greatly. Simply put, Salt is not selling a fancy "open/close" switch for a phone. Salt is selling security and it simply is not delivering... yet.

So, for now I feel that I have to un-install and wait for new update... I guess. What say you Salt?

Hey guys!

Paul - No worries! Most of these points will be fixed in the next update! We're focusing on HTC devices so we hope that it will fix your first two points! We'll be removing the SALT App from the "Recent Apps" list and starting it on boot so that you won't have to start it at all. We just want to make sure we don't have any bugs where our users would need to close the SALT App but can't. For now, we'll have to leave the notifications because they impact how SALT works in the background but we'll try to get them removed in the future!

Mike - That's great to hear! We're still working on making sure the Bluetooth connection is reliable so that should be improved in the next update! Also, we'll be removing the SALT App from the "Recent Apps" list in the near future!

Julie - This should be fixed in our next update! We're testing on the Note 3 now so that should be covered shortly!

Thanks!

Hi Salt Team

I am using the Salt card on a Verizon Galaxy S5.

I am coming across me bugs - pretty standard stuff for a Kickstarter project that I am sure you will work out.

The one that is troubling though is that the app is not auto-starting on a boot. As a result, if the phone is locked and the card is out of range, I can just reset the phone (which it lets me do without entering the pin) and then, since the app isn't auto-starting, upon reboot there is no security. Is anyone else experiencing this, and if so, is this being fixed?

Thanks,

Fred

My card is installed and activated and running however I still need to enter my passcode in my lock screen every time I access my phone...kind of defeats the purpose of the card. I've re-installed the app (about an hour ago) and have no idea why I am having to do this. I have a Samsung Note 3.

Mike Phillips
...

Nexus 6 - Android 5.1
The latest app update is better. But it is still disconnecting and reconnecting constantly. Suggestion is to not allow the app to be cleared in recent apps. I am constantly clearing my recents (just a pet peeve) and when I do it kills the Salt app.

Paul DiMarco
...

Phone: HTC One M7 running Android v5.0.2 and latest update of Salt software.

A couple issues found, not relating to each other. Hopefully a simple software update can't fix.

1) If the card and phone disconnect from each other because they are out of range from each other, the card/phone does not automatically re-connect itself to the phone/card. I have to manually open the Salt app and then the card connects again.

2) The Salt app locks up my phone multiple times a day. The app is running in the background. I am not opening the app. But since installing Salt app, my phone has been locking up about 3-4 times a day. I have to reboot the phone completely to be able to use the phone again.

3) If I open "Recent Apps" (by double clicking the home key), and clear the running apps, the Salt app is killed and the card disconnects. This kinda makes sense, but maybe the Salt app itself should be the spot where I decide to kill the connection. I like to keep the running apps screen empty, but if I clear the list, Salt stops working.

4) Also, would it be possible to add an option so I don't have to see the icon at the top of the screen when the app is running?

Thanks for the great product. I look forward to future products.

...

Can you please send us a message by clicking the blue "Chat" or "Help" button in the bottom right corner of the screen? We can definitely help you troubleshoot these issues! If we can't come up with a solution, we'll make sure to get it fixed in the next version of the SALT App!

Mani
...

Hey SALT team,

I installed the new version and some of the issues are gone, but still there are some and I am afraid they are all usability problems not cosmetic.

I am having difficulties with my Nexus 4
1) Very inconsistent in how it reads the SALT card - haven't able to get it to discover the card sitting right next to it since morning.
2) Random locks, i think this is because of its inconsistency to detect the card sitting next to it.
3) Locks when i try to access settings.
4) When I had the notification turned on for when the card is out of range, i used to hear a beep every few seconds. That indicates the inconsistency.

SALT Team
...

Hey William!

Please let us look into this issue for you! We'll get a G3 in-house so we can test and make sure that everything is working correctly for the next version!

Thanks for your patience!

Have installed the latest version (admittedly not clean/from scratch) but no improvements, I'm afraid to report (- And I hasten to add that I really want there to be !) So ...

Got a fun one for you. LG G3 running latest software (OS & Salt). Sometimes the home button (and now back buttton) refuses to work. I momentarily see the Unlock screen telling me my phone is secure. Yet if I hit power (to lock) the power again, it immediately unlocks. Workaround appears to be that I have to open the Salt app and then the home button works ... Not even close to ideal. I am also experiencing random relocks but then immediate unlock when I tap the screen again ...
Disable the app, and everything returns to normal. Sorry !

We've just posted an update that should cover a lot of the comments that we've gotten so far. Please check it out under the "Updates" section!

Thanks for all the feedback so far! We've read through all the comments and tried to address most of them in the latest updates to the SALT Apps. That way we can make sure we get everyone's questions answered!

Glad I'm not the only one having issues. Card constantly connects/disconnects. Running Republic Wireless Moto X (1st Gen) with Android 4.4.4. I got my card and had a lot of trouble getting setup until I realized my Bluetooth wasn't on. It might be good to put a check in for that. Also, is my phone supposed to be paired with it? It seems to connect everytime I scan for new devices, but then drops off a few minutes later. Also, it would be good to have a status screen so you can see if your card is in range, and maybe even a meter to show signal strength? I love the idea that it locks automatically when it's out of range, but sooo annoying when you're troubleshooting connection issues.

SALT Team

Hey guys! We just wanted to say that we'll be working through the night to wrap up the SALT App for Android update. We want to make sure everything is working properly before we release it and it should fix many of the issues that have been reported so far!

Now we'd like to answer some of the questions here:

John and Wurzel21 - Can you please send us a message by clicking the blue "Help" button in the lower right corner of the screen? We'll be able to troubleshoot a few things with you there!

Frederick, Vadivel and Tom - We're sorry but the domestic shipping is taking a little longer than we anticipated due to a processing issue at our shipping company. We hope you'll receive your SALT Card shortly!

Rahul and Michael - International backers should be receiving their cards shortly. We have heard that most of countries in Europe have received their SALT Cards and we expect Asia and South America to follow shortly! Unfortunately, we don't have any tracking numbers that we can provide.

Alan - No problem! They shouldn't create any security vulnerability because they're used just for this specific purpose. They just allow the phone to lock when the card is out of range on iOS devices. One is a certificate that's meant to get the unique ID for your device and the second one is meant to allow the locking functionality. Apple doesn't allow us to do that programatically within the app, so we have to use this solution for now. We're working on making this method even quicker and more intuitive for the next update!

Kim - Yes, you can use it just to track your wallet by not installing the certificates. We don't gather any personal data aside from the unique ID for your device and don't share it with anyone. All the certificates have a private key that only we have access too that would prevent anything from happening!

John Case
...

I got my card setup through the app, and have the certs installed. It doesn't lock the phone or do anything for me on an iPhone 6+. I'm failing to see how this (on iOS) is better than just using the TouchID system. Please help to figure out how to make this work.

Thank you for responding to my questions regarding the certificates. I understand that you need the for your app. But I am still wondering if the create any security vulnerability in the device generally. Can they be used to authenticate apps or websites? How does a certificate facilitate locking or unlocking a phone? Are they providing some type of root access? Why do you need two?

SALT Team

Hey Guys!

Mark, Milan and Wurzel21 - We had an issue with our hosting company earlier today that cause SALT to not function correctly. We are working on a fix and everything should be working at the moment. We may experience intermittent functioning during this process though! Sorry about the inconvenience!

Christophe - Yes, we're working on the update and hope to have it released today. We ran into some issues our hosting company that have been fixed, but that took some of our time away from the update. We still hope to wrap it up today but we'll keep you posted!

Matthieu - We'll be releasing an update that should solve most of your issues! Those issues aren't common to the OnePlus One, but we are fixing them for other phones so it should also solve the issues on yours!

Erno - The Galaxy S2 isn't supported at this point because it doesn't have support for Bluetooth 4.0 and Bluetooth Smart. We may be able to add it to the list of supported devices with a fix that we're working on, but we can't guarantee that it will be added! Sorry about that!

Alan - We appreciate the concern and we'll work to make that clearer ASAP! For now, we can answer the concerns here. The two certificates are installed to allow SALT to lock your phone when your SALT Card is in range. They basically get your phone UDID, which is the unique ID for your device, and let us know if you have the SALT App installed on your device. We don't gather any other information and we never share your UDID with anyone. The certificates are installed into the "Settings" > "General" > "Profiles & Device Management" section of your phone. They can also be removed there really easily, should you choose to.

Please let us know if that cleared up your concerns or if you have anything else you'd like for us to cover! Thanks!

Jimmy - Thanks a lot for the comment! It means a lot because we're really trying our hardest to fix all the bugs that we've come across in these first few days. We want the SALT Apps to work for everyone but this is the road we'll have to take to get there. We hope everyone understands this and will help us in getting to that point as well! Thanks again!

Klaus - The best way to tell if the card is working is to go the the main screen in the SALT App. If you see a blue check mark with the text, "Your card is in range" below it, that means it's working! If you don't see that, please feel free to live chat us by clicking the blue "Chat" button in the bottom right corner of this screen. We'll try to help you in real-time!

Just got my card - cannot get it to work. Activated the card (hard to tell if it worked - no feedback here). Installed app, activated device manager, setup card and pins - doesn't work at all. How to tell whether the card is broken or properly activated?

For ios, are the certificates downloaded within the app only or are they certificates that are installed at the operating system level? How are they used by the app? Can they be used for other purposes? Are there any security implications?

Jimmy Ang Wei Fa

All those comments on the app store are for you to improve the product functionality and don't be too down guys! I love your product, WE LOVE IT! that's why I'm here to show support. I'm sure one day SALT will be a product owned and suited to EVERYONE!

Alan

I am not comfortable installing certificates without a lot of details regarding what they do, security implications and confirmation on if and how they can be removed.

Morning, I had problems getting my SALT card to work properly so I installed SALT app update this morning and tried again. Running through the wizard part about certificates - Step 1 is fine and installs no problems, Step 2 fails, saying that this certificate is already installed. The app then starts alerting you with an error message "Re-install MDM" which fires off every 2 or 3 seconds. I have tried deleting any SALT certificates from the phone (although I could see only 1) and re-running through the wizard but this results in exactly the same problem. I have an iphone 5.

SALT Team
...

Hey guys!

Graeme - We're happy to hear that you've received your SALT Card! The security menu is actually titled "Passcode" or "Touch ID & Passcode". You should be able to find all the settings there!

Wurzel21 - We recently made an update available that should fix a lot of the issues with your iPhone 6+! Please make sure to uninstall the current version of your app and reinstall it. We'll be adding the distance setting in the coming updates. We just wanted to make sure we could isolate and correct all the basic bugs at the beginning before adding in more features!

Hey guys! We just wanted to give you a few answers:

Thomas, Ron, Jason and David L. - We've received a messages that people have starting receiving their SALT Cards yesterday. Since you're a little further from the immediate Chicago area, you should receive your SALT Cards in the next day or two!

David V. - Great! You can also find the link in the update titled "DELIVERIES AND APPS"

Daniel - Can you please send us a message via the blue "Chat" or "Help" button in the bottom right corner of the screen? That way we can help you get everything setup!

Alan - We're just waiting on an update from Apple because that version of the app is our initial submission to the App Store. The latest update will function a lot more smoothly and will fix A LOT of the bugs we had in the initial version!

Hey Carl!

As a supporter I will be receiving 4 cards. Three of them are for family members and they all have iPhones. Two users have iPhone 5s and one is an iPhone 4. My cell is a Samsung S IV. Hey Yuntaek!

Sorry about the confusion! If you pre-ordered your SALT Card via our website, you'll need to message us by clicking the blue "Help" button in the bottom right corner of this screen. I need to change my address. But I just can't find where to change it. I visited https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2018413691/salt-keyless-entry-for-your-phone and tried to find banner at the top saying Reward Survey, as you said, but I can't find it. Please help me with this issue.

SALT Team
...

Hey guys! We have a few answers to the comments:

Kevin - The survey is accessible by visiting our Kickstarter campaign at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2018413691/salt-keyless-entry-for-your-phone

There should be a banner at the top that starts with "Reward Survey". You can then click on the "Respond" button and fill out the survey. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

Sergio - No worries! We'll be posting an update with concrete shipping information once we receive the SALT Cards. We'll be able to update your address if you'll have moved by the anticipated delivery date. We're confident that most orders should be delivered by the end of this month!

Sergio

Hey guys!

We just posted another big update in the updates section!

To answer some of the new questions:

Alexander - Yes, we're using a company for international shipping that has a ton of experience in this space. This way we'll make sure to get everything done correctly and include the customs forms.

Andrew - It's going great so far! The latest update covers our current timeline and anticipated shipping times!

Daniel - Please check out our latest update and let us know if you have any further questions. We're sorry about the delay but we're back on track now!

Daniel Ilnitsky

Andrew Leonard
...

Hello Guys! How's the progress going? Just waiting for an update... I know it is super time consuming to produce one, but they are really important. Do you have any idea on an actual date for the salt card to arrive in the mail? Thank you!

Alexander Schirmer
...

Hi!

Just wanted to make sure that you are aware of the customs regulations in germany:
Packages need to be acompanied by a customs declaration and the bill of mailed goods. These must be accessible without opening the package! Packages with a declared value of more than 50$ will be held at customs and the recipients will have to pay an additional fee. This fee can sometimes be quite a lot! The value you declare is up to you.
Please make sure you follow these guidelines or your German backers will have to wait for up to a month for their package and possibly pay a hefty fee.
Feel free to contact me for help with the shipping process.
Take care!

SALT Team
...

Hey guys! We have a few answers/comments again!

We're prepping another update with the manufacturing images and some more general information about the process! Please keep an eye out for that!

Anthony - Thanks! We're getting closer so your wait won't be much longer!

Tim - Thanks a lot! We really appreciate your comment. We'll continue to give everyone thorough updates and look forward to shipping shortly!

Fernando and Jingmin - Right now, the SALT Cards are wrapping up production and should be shipped to us within a week. We have everything ready to go on our end so we'll be able to ship everything out shortly after we receive the cards. Depending on your location, you'll most likely receive your SALT Card by the end of this month with US orders delivering a little sooner.

Aditya - So far so good! Everything is going smoothly!

Michael - We're still waiting to hear back but our initial submission was approved that we aren't using any illegal code (private api's, etc.). We'll post an update as soon as we hear back on the full review!

Michael Bardorf

Hi salt team,When are the estimated delivery date?

Tim Huffman
...

I just wanted to thank you guys for being open and honest with us. I think you've done a great job of keeping all the backers up-to-date.

To the people complaining about delays: creating an actual physical object that is totally new is hard, especially when there are 3rd party manufacturers and regulatory agencies involved.

Anthony Jones
...

Take your time. Not in a hurry here.

SALT Team
...

Hey guys!

Corey - No problem! That's our plan and we hope you'll enjoy it!

Shawn - We're providing the latest information we have through our updates and we're trying to keep everyone informed on our next steps. Our goal is to be as transparent and approachable as possible so our backers fully understand any issues we may run into. Please feel free to message us if you have any specific or more in depth questions and we'll be glad to answer them!

Corey Lambert
...

Thanks for reply. Hopefully this time next month I'll be using my new SALT card.

Shawn
...

This is terrible. Awesome concept. Horrible execution. The updates really only appear to be stalling.... What is going on?

SALT Team
...

Hey guys!

Just wanted to answer some of the new questions:

Stefan - We'll definitely include more information on this in our next update. Pictures will help explain it a lot more than just words but we'll try :) It's a bi-fold genuine leather wallet that has a matte black finish. On the inside it has a money slot, credit card slots and a coin/key pouch with a zipper. I hope the pictures will give you a little clearer explanation!

Scott - No problem and thanks for the support!

Ricardo - Sure, you'll be able to add more cards to your pre-order! We're still running the pre-order via our website at www.securesalt.com

Austin - Yes, that's one of the tests we put the cards through! The prototype had an issue where it would impact the functionality of the card but we've definitely fixed that.

Howie411 - We're sorry to hear that! We definitely tired everything to avoid adjusting our original timeline. Even with the most meticulous planning, issues can and did come up. Aside from doing everything we can to speed up the process, the main thing we can do is keep everyone informed whenever we receive new information and we'll continue to do that.

Corey - Thanks! Right now, the timeline places us getting the cards in mid-February and we've set everything up so we can get the cards shipped out a few days after we receive them. The delivery times from that point depend on the destination and range from 2-4 days for domestic shipments.

Stefan Weiberg
...

Thanks for the huge update. But what I am missing is information in the leather wallet in the rewards. What does it look like? Which kind of leather? Which color? What kind of wallet is it?

Scott Anderson
...

thanks for the great updates! really appreciated.

Ricardo Molina Peña
...

I just figured it out that I will need a few more cards, there is a way I can get some more?

Austin Andrews
...

Hi!
Have the cards been tested with someone sitting on their wallet? I was wondering if there would be any possibility that they would bend after a time.
Thank you!

Howie411
...

This is exactly why this is the last KS project I have ever backed and refuse to back another. So far my record for 8 backed projects: 5 - Late, 5 - Not as Advertised. 4 - Pieces of junk (may be higher when I receive the others that are still late).

Corey Lambert
...

So I just read that looong update and this is what I got... Not only have you missed the Dec. time frame to ship, the cards are not even made. So realistically when should we have cards in hand? I don't need the explanations.. just the time frame.. BTW keep up the good work, I know it can't be easy to get something like this up and going. I can appreciate all the hard work, I just want a realistic time frame. Thanks.

SALT Team
...

Hey Ben!

The actual dimensions are 85.60mm x 53.98mm x 2.75mm which is 3.370" x 2.125" x 0.108"

Thanks!

ben white
...

What are the specific dimensions?

SALT Team
...

Hey Michael!

We're doing everything we can to meet out timeline but unfortunately things that are out of our control have slowed us down a bit. We completely understand your frustration. In terms of the thickness, we are just under twice the thickness we listed in the Kickstarter campaign. We had to increase the thickness because of the bubbling that was happening on the card. The plastic wasn't thick enough to conceal the PCB and batteries so we had to increase the thickness to protect the hardware and improve the aesthetics. The card will still definitely fit in a credit card slot in your wallet.

Please feel free to send us a message. We'll be available to talk!

Michael Seitz
...

3 times the original thickness is unacceptable. Beyond that this thing is going to be at least a month late. I'm pretty ticked.

SALT Team
...

Hey guys!

We just posted an update that should cover most of the questions we've gotten. Please check it out and shoot us a message if you have any other questions!

Johnny - Ben is 100% right. The card will work for both Android and iOS so you'll be able to use it with your HTC!

Ben - Thanks for answering Johnny's question!

ben white

when are you posting the update? "We'll be posting another update this week" from Jan 5th

Istvan Pocs
...

Any update about the project?

Cláudio Narciso

Daniel Ilnitsky
...

when we will get out cards?

Michael Seitz
...

So what's the latest, where's my card? We're nearly halfway through January.

ben white

The card is made for both iOS and android. There is only one card, you can switch between either ios and android at any time. You will just have to download the app on every device. Basically the card works with both

James

SALT Team
...

Hey guys!

Tony - Yes, it is! You'll just have to click the link in the email Kickstarter sent out about our survey. You'll be able to update your address there right up until we ship the cards!

June - Thanks for answering!

Scott - As June said, the batteries are not replaceable so you'll have to purchase a new SALT Card when it stops working.

Tony Nguyen
...

Hi @Creator, I want to change my address, is it still possible to do so?

June Mizoguchi
...

You can't change the battery......

Scott Strieter
...

Is there a way to replace the batteries in the card or do we have to buy another one once is dies?

SALT Team
...

Hey guys! Happy New Year! We'll be posting another update this week with some more exciting progress updates! Please keep an eye on your inbox for the email!

Mourad - We'll do an in-depth overview of the SALT Card in the next update so we'll cover the thickness there!

Mourad
...

@SALT LLC Please define "a bit thicker than a credit card" in millimeters, thank you!

SALT Team
...

Hey guys! We just wanted to cover some of the questions:

Efim - Can you please send us a message and we can try to correct that link.

Rob - No worries! The SALT Card will work with both Android and iOS. It will also work with the additional platforms we add in the future!

James - Thanks a lot!

Howie - The SALT Card is a little bit thicker than a credit card but it's other dimensions are exactly the same. We'll cover the SALT Card in more detail in and upcoming update but it easily fits into any credit card slot in my wallet (I use a super slim wallet).

Marissa - Yup! Please check our latest update, number 12, for all the details!

Liam - Yes, you'll be able to pair it with multiple phones. You can use it with multiple Android devices at the same time although you can use it with one iOS device at a time. We're still working on making it function with all devices at the same time.

Efim
...

Hello,

Link to make changes in "Got it! Your survey response has been submitted." email didn't work.

Rob Martin
...

Are you sending out different versions of the SALT card dependent upon whether we select iOS or Android on the survey? The reason I ask is I have an iPhone now but will be getting an Android phone in the near future.

James Simon
...

Good job guys. I am a firm believer you do it right the first time.

Howie411
...

The final version looks a bit thicker then I thought, thought it was suppose to be as slim as a credit card. Looks to be the size of 2-3 credit cards stacked. Can you give us a reference?

Marissa Brice
...

Any final word on if this will work for iPhone users yet? Or a delivery timeline?

Liam Breakspear
...

Will it be possible to use the same salt card on multiple devises? I have a iPhone 5, Samsung S4 and iPad.

SALT Team

Hey guys! We'll be posting an update with a TON of information shortly. Please keep an eye out for it!

Michael Seitz
...

Can we get an update please?

Grégoire Maffre
...

When will the SALT card be shipped ?

David Aldred
...

Hi guys, will you be issuing an 'confirm your address' survey at some point? Move house next week, and would hate to miss it. Thanks!

Scott Anderson
...

@Heather, actually according to the original timeline, they're right on track.

Looking forward to seeing them!

Eric
...

Hi guys-

Any updates to the status?

Heather Baker
...

It would have been nice if you guys would have done an update to let all of us know it was going to be late.

SALT Team
...

Hey guys!

Loic - We're planning on shipping the cards at the end of December so you'll probably receive them very early January!

Andreas - SALT won't have an impact on Apple Pay, it'll only interact with the lockscreen in that sense.

Andreas Symeonides
...

Do you guys know if this will happen to work with Apple Pay? I have to enter my pin to acknowledge a transaction, but will this make my pin enter automatically?

If so, is this a feature we would be able to turn on/off?

Loic Gomes
...

Hi! Any idea of the delivery date for european backers?
Thanks.

SALT Team
...

Hey Ryan!

Based on the voting results, we've decided to make all the cards in a fully matte finish!

Ryan Lee
...

In update 8 it says you guys are changing the front to glossy instead of matte. Are the people who voted matte still getting matte since matte won the voting? Personally I dislike glossy.

SALT Team
...

Hey guys!

Kelley - We're glad we're covering all of them! Let us know if you have any other questions!

Joachim - Unfortunately, we'll have to declare the actual value; however, that's usually low enough to avoid the import taxes for most countries!

Joachim Franch
...

Just a comment about shipping. Is it posssible for you to declare it at a value of 13$ and 2$ shipping, which would (for me a least) avoid paying import taxes...

Kelley Doern
...

It's great to see all my questions answered without even having to ask them :)

SALT Team
...

Hey guys!

Hope you had a great weekend! A few answers:

Danilo - Thanks for voting! We agree there are positives and negatives to the glossy finish! We love the new matte credit/debit cards too. So far ours still look brand new!

Neidiger - Yes, the glossy finish would be susceptible to scratching but there wouldn't really be a way to polish it. The matte finish will still show wear but won't show the hairline scratches that a glossy finish would.

Do_dirty - Thanks!

Brendan - We're still on pace, even with the FCC and CE testing we had to go through. Our timeline is still to get the cards shipped by the end of December!

Brendan Pogue
...

is the project still on schedule for Dec delivery?

Do_dirty
...

Good work you guys! Thanks for listening :)

Neidiger, Michael B.
...

why voting for a glossy finish? because you can have a look on every card with matte finish: it will only look fine at the beginnung.... because the surface will get continuously scratched more and more during use. next question: better a scratched matte or a scratched glossy one? glossy could be polished, matte not....

Danilo Sanchez Jr.
...

Voted for Matte. Although there is more of an elegant aspect to Gloss, that inevitably becomes impeded over time with scratches, swirls & other miscellaneous marks/scuffs when placed in a wallet, pocket, etc. Several of my banking facilities have switched to a matte finish & the cards actually look better & hold-up to the constant swiping & general use.

SALT Team
...

We just opened a SurveyMonkey survey, regarding the SALT card finish, for our backers that don't have a Facebook account. Here is the link:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/THVH775

SALT Team
...

Hey guys!

Julien - Thanks for the vote!

SoLongSidekick - We just thought it would be easier to organize a survey via Facebook. We're not collecting any personal information but we'll consider other options like SurveyMonkey for the future. Thanks for your vote!

Christine - Thanks for the vote! Please see our comment above about our future surveys!

Do_dirty - Thanks for the vote! We'll add it to the count!

Do_dirty
...

go matte, and screw facebook

Christine A
...

Hello there. I don't have (and don't want) a Facebook account so I put it here : I like the matte better. Thanks. (nb : why Facebook ? Here would have been better)

SoLongSidekick
...

No. I refuse to give you access to my Facebook information. Very sneaky. There are plenty of places you can set up polls where I don't have to give up personal information that I have no reason to provide to you. My vote is matte, and I am incredibly disappointed in this shady move.

Julien Ricard
...

A card is always glossy, people see it better and it's free marketing.

SALT Team
...

Hey guys! Hope you're enjoying the weekend so far!

Here are some more answers:

Pu - We'll be looking into developing versions of SALT for Window, OS X and Linux next year. Please keep an eye out for any updates on that!

trevor - That will definitely be an optional feature. You would have to add the network manually if you choose to use the feature!

ben - We're looking at the end of December so after Christmas. It'll be really tough to get everything shipped and delivered before Christmas with the postal service being as busy as it is at that time.

DJA and Belle - Since we've gotten a few people requesting the matte finish, we'll have a vote to decide the final finish! Please keep an eye out for an update tomorrow and we'll include a link to the survey!

Bart - We won't have anything at the beginning since we're concentrating on getting the apps and hardware delivered but we might release something next year! Please keep an eye out for updates!

Belle
...

Why is the finish being changed to glossy? The matte is so much better, and judging by the other comments, so do others.

Bart
...

hi guys, are you going to release an API so we can develop things ourselves?

DJA
...

Hi guys. Thanks for the update. If it's not too late, I actually like the matte finish as opposed to a glossy one. It's more discreet!

Franz Garsombke
...

@trevor harbin mmmm....pineapples. Is a faux 'trusted' network the same as me selecting a network in Safe Areas and somebody spoofing that they are indeed the network that I explicitly picked? I do like pineapples though.

ben white
...

Are you still on track to ship for December? If so before or after Christmas? Thanks

trevor harbin
...

@Franz, its a great idea but a huge security risk. There are things called pineapple routers that the average Joe can use to make your device think it's on a trusted network.

@Salt, please please please since this feature is going to be implemented, make this feature able to be turned off. :) Thanks!

Pu Cheng,Chang
...

Is there any chance this can work with computer ?

SALT Team
...

Hey guys! Hope your weekend is going well!

Adam - Ben is right, we're developing for the latest version of iOS and Android. We'll also support previous versions that include Bluetooth Smart support!

Ben - You're right! Thanks!

Franz - We'll be including those features in an update sometime early next year! Please keep an eye out for that!

Franz Garsombke

Is there a way to also include trusted WiFi networks like Safe Areas for Android. The best of both worlds is your card technology coupled with other known secure areas like a home WiFi network where I will not be carrying my wallet around.

Hey Adam!

We'll be starting development on the iOS version of the app in the next couple days. We'll know the answer for sure later this month but at this stage the app should work with iOS 7 without requiring a jailbreak.

Thanks!

Hey guys!

June and Allison - We're currently working on the apps and should have an answer in time for the first shipment. We'll have a definite answer by the beginning of December so please keep an eye out for an update around then! Please feel free to message us if you have any other questions.

Thanks!

June's question is a good one. I had actually gone in and canceled my pledge (or so I thought) because of the iOS security issues, but apparently the cancellation didn't go through, because I was just charged for the $15 pledge when the funding closed. If they find a way to make Salt work without having to jailbreak the phone, that's fine and good, but if not, I'd like my money back, and I don't really want to be waiting forever for one result or the other.

I think last week I received nice instruction video ongoing dev of the SALT. It has mentioned about IOS security issue with app is still under dev and if feels that IOS app will be out of deal for those are iPhone user can get refund. What point or time frame are you decide to back out on IOS8 make the refund those backers. Thanks

Hey guys!

Thanks a lot to Lindsay, Kareem, Dennis, Ashish, Birla and Jörg for the congrats and support!

Andreas - We have the prototype app for SALT working with Android even if it's encrypted. The PIN screen still shows up but you just have to click enter instead of entering your PIN. If you leave your phone somewhere, it would require your PIN to be entered.

Hey guys!

Just some final answers!

Jörg - Sure! We can talk about this when we ship the cards. Please email us then and we'll see what we can do!

Ashish - That feature is something we'll continue developing for the next versions of the SALT card!

Scott - We had a chance to look into doing a green card and the cost ended up increasing to have the two versions. Please keep an eye out for special editions in the future though!

Andrew - Yes, you'll be able to use SALT with all of those devices! The only issue could be the connection between the other devices.

Noam - Please see our project update #5 for a little more information. We'll be developing for the regular iPhone without requiring a jailbreak!

I usually don't carry my wallet on me and having seen how small the "real" hw is: can you provide a drawing that would allow me to cut the card to a much smaller size (or provide a salt-mini to start with)?

SALT Team

Hey guys!

Here are some more answers:

Rohan - SALT will use the native lock screen on your phone. We've been testing it without root on our phones and everything is working well!

Christine - When we ship our Kickstarter SALT cards, we'll be looking into which platforms we'll develop SALT software for next. That'll depend greatly on the interest we see for each platform! Please keep an eye out for a survey we'll send out early next year!

CK - Yes, we're considering standard charging, wireless charging or a replaceable battery for future versions of the SALT card. Our initial version won't have that capability.

Mark - Yes, you'll be able to use one SALT card with multiple devices at the same time!

Marissa - Please check out our latest update (#6) for some more info about our SALT Home stretch goal. As a thank you, all our backers will receive a discount on SALT Home when we begin taking orders! We looked into adjusting the cards to make them Kickstarter specific but, unfortunately, that would increase the cost for us by too much.

Marissa Brice
...

So are you not doing a stretch goal then after all? It's the final 48 hours so it seems like it's a bit late now if you add one- I was hoping for a Kickstarter exclusive color personally

Mark Hamitski
...

Another question: Is it possible to use one SALT card for two devices (for example for iPad and iPhone)?

CK

I think it's impossible now but just want to know whether there is any Qi wireless charging consideration. Basically I feel a bit waste to use for one year and throw it away.

Hello,

I pledged 2 cards for me and my friend's Android devices, but I also have a Blackberry Z10 and I was wondering if you could perhaps consider later a BB app, perhaps not a native one but a ported one, as it seems easier to access the BB World than the Apple store ? Thanks.

Rohan
...

Is the SALT app going to install a separate Lock-screen app or use the default one ? Won't it require root to use the default one ? . So if I read it correctly - When the Card is present -I have the phone's default lock screen and when it's not, it is the SALT pin lock-screen ( not the default built-in ).

SALT Team

Hey guys!

Here are a few more answers:

Justin - It's tough to tell for sure on the RFID wallet. They all have different characteristics so the answer would be variable. Based on looking at the design of The Ridge wallet, it looks like it would work! I'll reach out to them to make sure though!

Mark - Please see our latest project update for more info on iOS but yes, SALT should work on the iPad Mini!

Rainbow387 - You bring up some great points and questions! Thanks for researching our project before asking! I'll go through each comment/question:

1 - That's a great point! We'll add a bunch of these to the FAQ here and on our website for future reference!

2 - Aside from our own website, we still haven't committed to any alternate platforms for sales. Your point about using Amazon because of its parallel to Kickstarter is pretty interesting!

3 - Our goal is to create a product that helps everyone in their day to day lives. We'll offer refunds for any reasonable requests!

4 - The SALT app will be able to estimate the battery life remaining on the card and will notify you based on its estimation. The pull tab will keep the batteries from being depleted until you pull them. The only limitation is the expiration date of the batteries but that shouldn't impact anyone in the first four years.

5 - Another great idea! We'll have an update about our stretch goal before our project wraps up.

6 - Yes, we'll stay in touch through all those methods, including social media! We want to be as accessible as possible!

7 - We'll be available on Kickstarter, our website and our social media pages. That way, you can reach us whichever way is the most comfortable for you!

8 - We've considered partnering with some campaigns but I think it's too close to our campaign deadline at this point. It's something we'll try to do in the future though!

9 - Yes, SALT can also be used as two-factor authorization for your phone! In case you leave your SALT card somewhere, you'll be able to enter a secondary PIN as a fail-safe. If you're not using the two-factor authorization option and leave your SALT card somewhere, you'd just enter your regular PIN!

10 - That looks like an interesting service! We'll look further into it!

11 - You would have to keep your Bluetooth on while using SALT so the phone can find the SALT card. The connection between your phone and the SALT card would be handled through the SALT app. You'll just have to enter the number from your SALT card and the app will take care of the rest. The app will contact our database and download the information for that particular SALT card and use it to authenticate the card in the future.

12 - The widget will be an icon on your home screen that you can click to manually lock your phone at any point. Once clicked, it will lock the phone and require a PIN to get back into it.

13 - We value the help our backers have provided so we'll definitely be offering some promotions in the future. Right now, it's still too early for us to announce any such promotions but we'll keep you updated in the future!

14 - That's a great point! We'll be updating our image tomorrow!

15 - The easiest way would be to see if the SALT card works in general. That would include making sure the card is locking and unlocking the phone. If it doesn’t work for any reason, feel free to contact us and we'll get to the bottom of it!

16 - Our preferred range feature will be based on signal strength because each users situation will vary. Since we're using this method, you'll have a really fine level of control over the distance!

17 - The card itself doesn't store any variable information so it can't really be hacked. Others can still search for the card but they won't be able to modify any of the information on it. We'll be updating both the SALT app and card but you'd have to purchase the new versions of the card because we won't be able to update the existing cards. Our app won't be malicious in any way so all the data gathered by the app will stay on your phone and be deleted when you delete the app. The SALT app will need all the permissions it requests in order to work properly. If any of the permissions are revoked, certain aspects of the app may not work correctly.

18 - We won't be collecting any data from your phone. All the data gathered by the SALT app will stay on your phone for the apps use and will be deleted once you delete the app.

19 - Tasker is a great app that allows your phone to do almost anything that you'd like it to. Tasker requires some general programming knowledge but is extremely powerful. You'll be able to make your phone do specific things based on the proximity of the SALT card. Baljit's question was referring to the security settings required for all the employees at his company.

20 - There really won't be any maintenance required for the SALT card and all the maintenance of the app will be done by us. You'd just have to install the updates!

Sheri - SALT would remove that step as well. You'd just have to click the unlock button and you'd have access to your phone if the SALT card is within range, if not, you'd just enter your PIN. You'll notice a greater difference if you have touch screen gloves on or if your hands are dirty and the fingerprint doesn't register for any reason!

Hakkert - We haven't setup a beta group yet so please message us privately and we'll add you to our list!

Hakkert
...

Is it possible to beta test it for you? Im an iOS and misfit shine user.

Part 2 *Please read part 1 first obviously if you have not yet, thanks*

17.) Hardware and Software Security *This one is of serious importance* – Not being technically knowledgeable on the hardware side (card itself) would this be something that could be hacked or compromised? Also is this card or app something that will be updated and is it open source? On the Software side (App) is this something that presents a security risk in anyway? I am more concerned about this being that you hear all the time about malicious apps or apps compromised and then all the data the app has taken such as location then been up for grabs by said hackers. To safeguard against this a friend had told us about another app that restricts permissions of apps to avoid them taking more than they need as a failsafe, is this something that you can do through your app (restrict permissions) or would a user need to install that app to do it and since the lost function is less important could that function be turned off while still allowing the pin security useable?

18.) Privacy Policy and handling of user data – What info do you collect and for what purposes does it need be for what to work?

19.) Tasker Integration and Baljit’s Question –

In regards to this response:
Aleksi - I can definitely put out some Tasker profiles for you to use! That way you can create your own events based on the proximity of the SALT card!

And this comment:

Baljit
Regarding the question with "Android Device Policy" - I have the following policies enforced:
- Some device details are shared with administrator
- Device password must contain letter or numbers
- Device password must have at least 4 characters
- Lock timeout must not be greater than 5 minutes
- Administrator will be able to remotely wipe device
- Administrator will be able to remotely remove account from the device
- Device Policy version must be the latest
- Wireless network setting added by administrator
Let me know if any of the above will cause SALT to not be compatible or work correctly (hopefully none of the above restrict SALT :) )

Also more recently your response:

Hey guys! Some great comments!
I have some answers:
Baljit and Bradley - We'll make SALT work in both cases but it will be a phone specific solution. We'll cover most of the new phones off the bat and cover all modern phones shortly after!
Abdul - Thanks, we used Tasker to develop some prototypes and I love the app! Using the SALT card with Tasker will allow you to unlock some more of the SALT card's potential!

Could you please on Tasker integration and profiles and what Baljit’s question was in reference to as well as Abdul’s for someone not familiar with such subjects?

20.) Maintenance – Regarding proper care to maintain this card either on a hardware or software level or is such just common sense?

I appreciate you taking the time to read all of these if you could and await your replies. I’m getting this for someone and so for that reason among others I’d like to know as much info to get things right the first time and depending on the answers will or will not be purchasing now or perhaps at a later time.

...

Part 1 *PLEASE READ FIRST*

@Creator
Hello I am interested in your product however before 100% committing to backing I would like to hear your responses to ALL of these questions as I’m sure would some of your other potential backers:

*NOTE: I have already read ALL of the now 126 comments to try to avoid asking a question that has not been asked already for our conveniences.* Also the updates and their comments as well.

Questions/Suggestions/Comments:

1.) FAQ – I highly suggest that you include the bulk of the answers to these questions as well as to those others that are not necessarily prominent or relative to my particular concerns but others’ future ones to the faq starting now: Why? Because it is far more likely that new backers would as opposed to diving into the ocean check the FAQ unless you are like the very best creators who read all of their backers comments, messages, emails (also responding to any and all questions regardless of schedule *Please refer to LinkMount Campaign to see proof it is possible with a far greater volume of such*) an easier approach while you still have the chance since you only have 122 comments (which you have answered I’m happy to see) is to continue as you were however take on all those you feel are important and would help those potentials’ by posting in said FAQ also of course to avoid having to repeat the same answers unless you really would like to such as those on LinkMount.
2.) Amazon – I believe that like many products that claim to be great (which being optimistic I believe yours to be) it really isn’t known for sure until you check the Amazon reviews. Do you plan on setting up shop like many other KS creators and using that as a platform to market this as well as future products and accessories to the masses because again assuming all goes well with this I’ll be sure to write a review. Also considering US backers use Amazon to checkout on KS thus indicating they have an account, establishing yourself there would be a good idea, no? Another reason is because as I’m sure like other backers so many products nowadays want us to sign up for another site that avoiding to have to remember another username and password would be greatly appreciated.
3.) Official Return Policy and/or Warranty (Manufacturer’s or otherwise) – Is there either for this product if so I didn’t catch it so could you provide the necessary info if any?
4.) Battery – Knowing that life is relative to how often the card and phone interact on the app or otherwise is there an indication (maybe one day on the card itself in some way) as to how much life is left similar to say how on your phone there is bars or a percentage meter? I note that you state that you’d know when we’d need to get a new one so how is that via the app or…? Also in regards to the pull-tab you state in another response that the card will not activate until the tab is pulled and mention that there is a time period in place
how long is that time period…For example you say if someone wanted to get a 4 cards to use one after the other you recommend they do your option where you send them one after another instead…is that because the “time period” even without pulling the tab is not long enough to last the 4yrs and if so again just to reiterate what is that period? If not for four years than buying an extra card will be enough 2 years?

5.) Accolades and Stretch Goal Placement – I’d recommend as well as stretch goals, to feature them more prominently so as to let potential backers know how well you are already doing (and/or with plans on a improved product or benefits) to compel them to jump on board despite some of the better perks being eaten up already.
6.) Updates – Will you continue to update your backers (updates on current projects, future projects, others questions answered etc…) through KS comment section, update section, direct message and/or email after campaign ends *KS is ideal*?
7.) Contact/Support – What are the different ways to contact you after the campaign ends? (Aside from a website) (In case of problems etc, it would be in your interest to keep communicating on KS not only with direct messages but comment section questions so that the community can see perhaps answers to questions they hadn’t even thought of.) Some companies have a number and/or email as well.
8.) Sister Campaign – I suggest trying if you haven’t already to contact other projects with a similar focus to ultimately create a sister campaign with as others such as Yoropen has done with swivelCard as one example to try garner support from an additional channel.

9.) Ultra Security – As you state pretty clearly, the person I’m buying this for as a gift more focused on security, to require in addition to having to enter the pin and have the card present is that the extent to which you can increase security? Also you state as far as should a card be faulty a user could simply use their normal pin to access their phone, to test if the card is faulty after selecting the former setup (of which I’d appreciate if you could make clear on how to set up) could the user merely attempt to access their phone with just the pin w/o the card and if it works the card would be faulty correct seeing as you wanted it set to needing the card in addition to the pin correct? Also say you lost the card in the same scenario and you wanted to get into your phone with the setup again being needing both the card and the pin how would you get into your phone? *is there a failsafe?

10.) ThunderClap – I believe this is a tool LinkMount among others have used to garner support so please research it as well if you haven’t so you could to use to help.

11.) Bluetooth Security *This is of importance* – Noting that Bluetooth 4.0 is much more battery efficient regarding usage my question is that I thought I read somewhere that leaving your Bluetooth on all the time which I would guess you would need to puts you at risk…I’ll need to read more about Bluetooth in general but could you speak to what level of security you will be using with this device such as pairing key process encryption etc and what level you have allowed it to be set on when connecting to the phone…(Not being familiar with Bluetooth again I’ll have some follow up questions regarding this but please educate me if you don’t mind relative to what you know if you wouldn’t mind until I get around to reading more, thanks.
12.) Widget – Regarding the widget you speak of to keep your phone locked can you elaborate.
13.) Future Discount – For your backers relative to other kickstarter projects some creators (like those of the Blink campaign as just one example) have made their backers (if not generally which I’d recommend at least for Earlybirds) aware that they “would have continued access to special promotions and discounts following the campaign”…will you be offering anything similar for yours? Like for your future projects like they have (such as your next version of the card? Also for upcoming releases will you also be contacting us early as well to put us on notice? This I believe would further reassure those on the fence about backing due to not being able to recharge for this version (especially knowing you’re already working on one that will which could depending on specs and price etc…could very well make this version obsolete comparably).
14.) Listing Image Update – Another GREAT way to further inform potential backers of info that might entice them to want to click on your listing such as other successful creators have done and you may have seen is update your main image with custom complimentary text updates within the main picture *such as if you are “Staff pick” or “Listing ending in 3 days” or “New stretch goals added or achieved/unlocked or 85% accomlished” or “Earlybird offers dwindling” or “Additional Early bird offers now offered” etc…Trust me that will help.

15.) Faulty Card – How would you know if your card is faulty or defective in some way? What signs to look out for, effects have (black and white aka not work or work or in the middle somewhere as in works sometimes but not as effective) and steps to fix or merely send back via contacting you?

16.) Preferred Range – I know this will be something that will not be able to be used initially but when completed what range examples will be set custom such as 2.25 ft or less specific like 1ft 2ft 4ft etc… or by 2s such as 2,4,6 ft for ex?

...

Hi guys. First off, I want to say great concept. We all need things that help make life that little bit less complex. I only have two questions, one of which I know is open to debate at present so I eagerly await the outcome, albeit with some trepidation.

1 - will I be able to use the unlock feature with my I-Phone 5? (Know where we are with this at present)
2 - can I use the card with an RFID wallet? I have the Ridge Wallet 2 as launched here on Kickstarter.

If it looks like I can't do either then I seriousely have to rethink why I am backing. As I stated earlier I think the idea is great but without these options does it become just a piece of worthless plastic?

Thanks,
Justin

Hey guys!

Thanks a lot for the continuing support of our project! We're getting a lot of great questions in the comments and private messages! Recently, the main question has been about the iOS compatibility of the SALT app, so I hope this comment will cover Julian, David and Marissa's questions:

Our strategy for iOS is to use an alternate distribution method, just for our iOS backers, which will make it extremely easy for you to install the SALT app. We're confident that at least one of these alternate methods will work. If they don't, we'll DEFINITELY offer a refund to any backer that requests a refund. We truly appreciate your support and it wouldn't be fair to keep money if we don't provide the product that you backed.

The SALT app works on iOS but the main issue is getting the app accepted into the Apple App Store. Apple has a very strict review policy and won't allow apps into the App Store that interact with any security settings but there are still ways to distribute the app to our backers without requiring a jailbreak.

Android is completely different because the Google Play Store is open to all apps. You can interact with any portion of Android without restrictions. That's why all the SALT features won't be an issue for our Android backers.

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you may have! We're here to make sure everyone understands our project!

The other great news is that we've put together a working version of the app that we can demonstrate for our backers! We'll be posting an update with the video by tomorrow morning so you'll get to see what we've been working on! Keep an eye out for the email!

- Niko

Kyle Koh
...

I'm an international backer and would like to buy 4 SALT cards. I can't help but notice that getting 4 cards ($60 + $10) is more than double the cost of getting 2 ($30 + $4). Is there a way to modify your shipping price for the 4 card reward so that it becomes just $68 or less?

Marissa Brice
...

Yeah, I must say I'm surprised that the main feature/purpose of the card appears like it will not work with iOS despite that the campaign description continually says it's iOS compatible, I understand you do say in the FAQ that it MAY not work out, but I kinda had to dig around for that info after it was pointed out here in the comments

I understand that there are other features of the Salt card iOS users can still take advantage of- but the main reason people are backing this project is the automatic unlocking feature so I'd be very disappointed if that didn't work with my phone- so I'm also curious if there will be any compensation to iphone backers if you do indeed find out this cannot unlock their phones after all

SALT Team

Hey guys! Hope your weekend is going well so far!

Some answers:

Bradley - I'll make sure it works with encryption and post a video tomorrow at some point with the results!

Brian - Bluetooth Smart is a new technology that enables Bluetooth communication with a considerable decrease in the energy required. The connection between the SALT card and your phone will be via Bluetooth Smart so the impact on battery life should be minimal.

David - That feature is the automatic locking and unlocking of the phone. We'll post a video demonstrating that feature shortly! To clarify, that feature will work on Android but iOS is the main issue.

David Fleishaker
...

What is the pin feature that jullian is talking about that may not work?

Brian B.
...

can u explain how Bluetooth Smart works with SALT? how will it not drain my phone battery life? i will have to have bluethooth on all day right?

Bradley Faber
...

You say that there would have to be phone specific solutions, however, I am using Android's universal encryption and, to my knowledge, the operation of this is universal to all android devices, at least android 4.4.

Honestly, if I cannot guarantee that it will work with the Android encryption, then I have no use for the product as the only reason I have a lock code set on my phone is because my work requires encryption for receiving work emails.

SALT Team
...

Hey Julian!

We want to make sure people understand SALT, so we'll be posting a video update in the coming days that will cover which functionality will be present in each version of the app, Android and iOS. We'll have a demo on each phone showing off SALT's features. That way our backers will have a clear understanding of what's possible in their particular case. I hope that'll clarify things further!

We'll also show everyone the hardware that we've developed for the SALT card. We're super excited to reveal that portion of the project as well because of the size. The module is slightly larger than a dime!

Thanks!

Julian Rinaldi
...

Sorry if I came off harsh. However, I still think you should be honest and state that the pin code functionality absolutely will not work with iOS unless your phone is jailbroken. The fact is that every single app that alters the iOS lock screen has been rejected. Apple simply does not allow applications to alter the way the lock screen works, not to mention they don't allow applications that use non-public APIs. The only way you could even make this work is if you used non-public APIs.

It’s a fact that this unlock functionality will not work with iOS without jailbreaking your phone. It’s not an obstacle, it’s a road block, and not one you’re going to get around. You know this. In my opinion you should change the language on your Kickstarter to reflect that.

PS, thanks for liking 60+ of my Instagram photos.

SALT Team
...

Hey Julian!

Thanks for being a fan and backing us!

I think we've been upfront about the possibility of the PIN unlock feature not working on iOS devices. We've answered every comment and the many messages we've gotten in the same way. If any of our backers or potential backers were misled, then I hope this comment will clarify things for them.

The PIN unlock functionality on iOS is a tentative feature. While we know it's programmatically possible, getting the app accepted will be the hurdle. Since this is the case, we'll be able to provide this functionality on jailbroken phones but we don't want to force our backers to jailbreak their phones.

We'll have a regular SALT app available for our backers without the need to jailbreak their phones, which will still include the other functionality we outline in the project.

The reason we say that we're working on the PIN unlock functionality, is because that's the main obstacle in our project. Obstacles are meant to be solved and we'll do everything we can to solve this one; otherwise, we wouldn't even be on Kickstarter. We have a couple ways to solve this issue but we won't know for sure until we test them. Testing involves having a working version of the app so we won't know for sure until later this year.

I hope that clarifies things and thanks for the comment!

Julian Rinaldi

First I would like to say that I'm a fan of this project, and a backer.

However, you need to be upfront and honest about your product. You keep insinuating that this product MIGHT be able to work with iOS to unlock your phone. I feel like you're being purposely vague about this.

THERE IS NO WAY THIS PRODUCT WILL WORK WITH AN iOS DEVICE TO UNLOCK IT UNLESS IT IS JAILBROKEN. You already know this, but you're pretending that you're still trying to figure this out. You knew this BEFORE you even launched your product, but you still went ahead and feigned ignorance. You did this to get more people to back the project. If you were truly ignorant of the fact that this product wouldn't work with an un-jailbroken iOS device, then I have to question whether or not you're technically competent enough to actually complete this project.

Why not be honest with your backers?

Hey guys! We're super excited to be climbing past our goal! All the sharing on social media has been a huge help!

We have some more answers for you:

Jordan - That's the correct math! Now we're past the goal and still climbing!

Baljit - That would be a programming solution in the SALT app. We'll be shooting to cover most devices with the first release of the app and covering all modern devices in the coming updates!

Michael - Yes, the SALT card will work with multiple devices at the same time!

Jason - Thanks a lot! We'll be working on a rechargeable or replaceable battery for the next versions of the cards. Please keep an eye out for any updates!

James - We're very excited as well! The support we've gotten has been amazing!

Gentman - Trogdor is right! (You'd have to purchase a new card. We'll be working on a replaceable or rechargeable battery for future versions of the card)

Trogdor - Thanks!

Matthew - We have the home version of SALT listed as a stretch goal on the main page. We'll be updating the info in that section shortly with some images and details! We'll push to get everything shipped as soon as possible but unfortunately, we can't confirm that we'll be ready to ship before the holidays.

Thanks for the update - just to confirm the comment below:

"Baljit and Bradley - We'll make SALT work in both cases but it will be a phone specific solution. We'll cover most of the new phones off the bat and cover all modern phones shortly after!"

- Will the phone specific solution require changes made on the device side or on the card side? And will it offer full functionality of the SALT card? Is this something that would be available once the card launches or at a later date?

PS. Under $1000 to go now! Almost there! ($49,006)

Sean - Please just add the $15 to your order and we'll match it up when the campaign ends! Please shoot us an email a day or two after the campaign ends just to confirm!

Jauvane - You can add money to your pledge and we'll match it up. Since all our early bird levels are gone, you'd have to add the regular backing level dollar amount. (i.e. $15 for one card, $30 for two cards...) Thanks!

SALT Team

Kareem - The cards will have a pull tab so the battery won't be used until that tab is pulled. If you'd like to spread them out over the course of four years though, I'd recommend you select the staggered option when we send out the survey before we ship the cards. If you choose this option, we'll ship you a card every year for four years or whenever you need one until you've received all four. If we update and improve the card in the mean time, your next card will be the updated version!

James - Thanks we are too!

Mike - Thanks for answering!

Sheri - If you have TouchID enabled with SALT installed, you won't have to enter your PIN. So it'll take that step out of the process. Also, if your hands are dirty or you live in a cold weather climate and have to wear touchscreen gloves, SALT will still work! It will also give you the other functionality of SALT, such as tracking your wallet or purse.

mac - No, SALT won't interfere with your credit cards!

Cheryl - Thanks! We're so close now!

Dumitrascu - Just a little left to go!

Tyler - Thanks a lot! We're glad you liked the video!

Aleksi - I can definitely put out some Tasker profiles for you to use! That way you can create your own events based on the proximity of the SALT card!

Aleksi Hietanen

Backed :)! You just mentioned some kind of Tasker integration in a recent answer to a comment. Can you tell me more about this functionality? Is your app adding Tasker states for SALT being on the range and not being on the range? Can we get an event context when SALT is going out of the range or coming to the range? This way it would be possible to launch a Tasker task when you for example leave your wallet behind or enter your home where you have a SALT card. If these things will be possible, I'm probably upgrading my pledge and getting more of these cards :)

Some more answers:

Jon - Trogdor's answer is 100% correct!

Trogdor - Thanks for the answer!

Matthew - TouchID is a great system but it still forces you to do something in order to get into the phone. SALT would completely eliminate all additional steps plus it would track your wallet!

Jeanne - Great question! The SALT card will work with IFTTT too. We actually developed the prototype in Tasker, which is a great app as well! You can get a SALT card and create your own profiles and uses for it! (i.e. if you're in your car, send a text message that you'll call back when you park)

Davide - Yes, we're working on an iOS app as well! Please check out our FAQ and our "Risks and Challenges" section for more info.

Vincent - Unfortunately, there is no way to have SALT work with a pattern lock at this time. This is due to backend issues that we can't control but if it becomes possible in the future, that functionality will be included in an update!

From the FAQ on the front page:
What happens when the card batteries stop working?
We've developed the SALT card to be ultra thin while keeping the price extremely low. Because of this, when your SALT card stops working, you would have to order a new one. Don't worry, we'll try to maintain our price point into next year and we'll even give you a heads up when it's time to order!

Hey guys it's almost the weekend!

To answer some more questions:

Baljit - It's tough to tell without knowing your specific settings. Please feel free to message me and we can work on finding out for you!

Scott - We haven't planned a Kickstarter version of the card but we'll look into it! If there's a way to do that without raising the cost of the cards we'll make it an option!

Diego - If you'd like to ship us the old card we can recycle it for you but we haven't planned on offering the cards at a reduced price. In terms of a price cut for being a backer, that's something we're considering! We'll try to keep the card price around $15 but depending on how our campaign goes, we may have to up it to $20 at retail. In order to keep prices as low as possible, we're only offering the cards online but there may be an opportunity to get into stores in the future!

Trogdor - Yes, SALT ties into the native lock screen so when you boot up your phone, it will require a PIN at least once to unlock it. You'll be secure as soon as you power it on!

Do you think with all the new ios 8 updates it will become easier for SALT to work on ios, or will it make it harder?

Trogdor

@Salt

I've messed with NFC unlocking via a ring. The Android app for this project does lock the phone, but doesn't tie into the native lock screen. This means, upon reboot, there is a time whereby the lock screen app isn't running.

I've rooted my personal phone and tied NFC into the native lock screen. Not an option for the work phone [encryption and long pin and, most of all, against policy].

Question: Does this app tie into the native Android lock screen? In other words, if I reboot the phone, am I secure with your app installed? The phones in question or a Nexus 5 and an S4.

Does it work with the native security pin or does it lock your phone with its own security pin? Good morning!

Some more answers:

Hakkert - Not yet but we'll keep you posted through the comments and updates!

Kenny - We're hoping SALT is a massive hit so this is one of the things we're trying to improve :) One future version of the card we're working on will blend in with all your credit cards and look like just another card. We think it's a good problem to have and will continue working on new ways to strengthen security down the road!

I think Android Device Manager and Find My iPhone are great but SALT will still make your phone more convenient by removing the PIN entry step. In case both get stolen at the same time, then you can jump back to those apps just to make sure your data is safe!

Thanks for the questions though because they'll help make us better!

Andres - Yes, you'll be able to use SALT while you're using any paired Bluetooth device! There won't be anything you'll need to do if you're away from your device for a prolonged period of time and there shouldn't be any interference if there are multiple cards present. We say "shouldn't" because it's always a possibility with wireless devices but we've developed SALT to minimize potential interference. Each SALT card in unique so one card won't be able to unlock another phone if it's not specifically added to it!

RL - That's something we'll look into for future versions of the card but we'll be a little more concentrated on the battery life so you won't have to worry about turning it on/off!

Thanks for the great questions guys!

RL
...

Is it possible made SALT card have press on/off function, that is useful when i go to sleep and cant waste the card battery?

Andres Tapia
...

The card uses Smart bluetooth, does this mean you have to pair the device? At that time will you be able to connect to another device, for example wireless keyboard, wireless headphones? Or does this take your bluetooth capabilities. If is about pairing the device, will you have to reconnect after several hours of being away from the card? And finally what is the result of multiple cards being near the phones (different users) will there be any interference? Possible way for another card to open another phone?

Kenny Duggal
...

Sorry, I'm still a bit confused; it looks alot like SALT is just banking on the idea that most people will HOPEFULLY not know what it is, and the company and product will be that low key, that discreet and away from the public eye that would be thieves will just look at it, not know and HOPEFULLY throw it away. Not a good philosophy. So lets be optimistic and shoot for the stars and assume SALT is widly successful, a massive hit and everyone knows about it, wants one, or has one.

Now, every would be thief who gets your phone and wallet is 100% going to keep it. Which means all your users are 100% going to have to put the timed PIN entry interval on their SALT cards and phones. A thief with your SALT card only needs 5 minutes to use it to get into your phone, change the settings and turn off the security measures, so you're going to want to set the interval to 5 minutes. In which case, even if you've bought a SALT card, you're going to have to enter a PIN in your phone every 5 minutes like you always did. So what benefit does the SALT add here other than making things a bit more convoluted and unsafe, expensive than just entering a PIN every 5 minutes - which you'll still have to do?

Android Device Manager and Find My iPhone is a thing we can already use with or without SALT which kinda makes it sound obsolete.

Don't get me wrong, it still sounds like it'll have its uses, but again, seems to be banking on the idea that HOPEFULLY thieves won't know what it does, HOPEFULLY throw it away if they get hold of it, HOPEFULLY won't use it before the time you've set your phone to confirm you're still using it... a lot of leaving things up to chance, which reduces its effectiveness as an anti-piracy tool.

Hakkert

any updates for IOS?

SALT Team
...

Hey!

To answer the new questions:

Jauvane - The cards will have a pull-tab that you can pull so the battery starts being used. That will allow you to store the cards for a period of time before you start using them! I'd suggest you select the option to have a card shipped to you every year when we send out the survey. If you choose this option, we'll ship you a card every year for four years or whenever you need one until you've received all four. If we update and improve the card in the mean time, your next card will be the updated version!

Bradley - I'll get back to you shortly with an answer. It's tough to tell without knowing the specific settings but I'll try to get you a more solid answer.

TzKmst - The shipping is included in the backing levels unless you live in the US. If you're outside of the US, you'd have to add the shipping cost when you back the project and then you'll be covered!

TzKmst
...

I want to ask about the multi cards. If I want multi cards and send every 12 month for battery life. Who will pay shipping fee for them ? I'm out side the US.

Bradley Faber
...

My android phone is encrypted (for work) which requires the use of a PIN, does the SALT work with that? Are there any feature limitations when using an encrypted phone?

Jauvane Oliveira
...

BTW, if one acquires 4 SALTs. Would it be possible to start counting the battery life of some cards just when the first couple of cards die out (a year or so ahead)? The card would need to have some sort of activation. Something like pressing firmly somewhere in the card to connect the battery and activate it.

SALT Team
...

Hey guys!

Some more answers:

Shez - Thanks a lot! We're working on a rechargeable/replaceable battery for our next version but unfortunately we won't be able to bring it to the first version of the SALT card.

Abdul - If you meant how long the screen will stay on until it turns off if you're not using it, that would be adjusted at the phone level. Please let me know if I answered your question!

Thanks!

Jauvane Oliveira
...

Recharging the card would be superb, but given the low price I agree that replacing it in a year is reasonable.

I find SALT to be specially useful if left in the car, so that no password would be needed while in the car. Is it possible to configure more than one SALT to unlock the same phone, i.e. SALT1 to be left in car1, SALT2 to be left in car2 and SALT3 to be in a wallet, for instance? The wallet SALT could keep a phone unlocked for a shorter time, let us say 30 minutes, whilst those in the vehicles could keep the phone unlocked continuously. If that is indeed supported, what would be the behavior if the phone is near two SALT cards (car & wallet at once)?

Abdul Halim Mat Ali
...

@Creator.
If the phone screen is unlock by Salt, after how after long that the screen goes off?
Is the setting done at the phone level or by your app?

Shez
...

Design is perfect, but to me as well the battery should be replaceable or rechargeable. I would increase my pledge if you Creator make it happen :) 17 days for it to happen. :)

SALT Team
...

Thanks a lot Adam! The Machine Era Wallet looks awesome as well! Very excited to have purchased one!

SALT Team
...

Hey Kenny!

Sure I can clarify that! The card checks in with the phone every so often so when it misses a check in point, your phone would lock and the phone would store it's location which will have been relatively close to the card. It does have an effect on the battery but you shouldn't really notice the difference. You won't see any effect on your data though!

As far as losing both at the same time, that's a great point! We've tried to cover that issue through a few methods. In the app, you'll be able to select a lockout interval if you choose so you're phone asks you for your PIN at an interval you select. This is just to add security and double check that the actual owner is still using the phone. The other method would be to jump on Android Device Manager or Find My iPhone and lock/wipe your phone from there! We'd include that function in our app but they just do it so well right now. It's something we're thinking of including in future updates though.

I hope I've answered your questions and if not, please let me know!

Thanks!

Adam Hogsett

This is brilliant guys! The SALT card looks great in a Machine Era Wallet. We can't wait to get ours. Best of luck.

Kenny Duggal
...

Could you guys go into mored detail about how the lost feature works? The main page doesn't really say anything about it. Is it done by wifi? How does it track location the last time the card was exactly? How does that effect data and battery of both the phone and card? How often does it update? Any more information on it?

Since this seems pretty big on anti-theft, a few of us have been talking on the Backershub group on Facebook about a situation where a thief gets hold of your phone AND wallet. In that case, they've pretty much got access to all the things the video says you'd want to protect, like photos, emails and messages right?

You'd have to count on the thief not knowing what it does or hopefully throwing it away after stealing your stuff and not deciding to steal all the data from your phone before doing all that, right? Kind of unlikely that someone would keep a seemingly useless card or whatever, but it still seems like a big risk and that the Salt can actually work AGAINST you by giving people an all access key and easy way into your phone. The video shows that depending how you set up the Salt app and card, a notification will pop up actually telling people they NEED the Salt card and what its function is.

If someone knew what the Salt card was and got hold of both, you're pretty much screwed, by the looks of it.

Again, some of these events might be unlikely, but the whole point of the product is to protect your privacy and data, so I don't think it's worth leaving things to chance and being more sorry than safe. It's never a big deal until you're in that situation where you know someone has your phone and also a all access free entry into it.

SALT Team
...

Hey guys!

Just to touch on some of the conversations:

Umar and RL - For our first version of the card, we tried to keep the card really thin and the price really low. If we included replaceable or rechargeable batteries, it would definitely increase the price and thickness. It's something we're working on for future versions of the cards though!

Kenny - The Android version of the app has a widget that you can tap to lock your phone. That way you can still protect your Facebook from your friends as needed :)

Marissa - Thanks! Our goal is to keep the price of the card as low as we can so it makes it easier for our backers to order a new one every year. Also, adding the new card is as simple as entering the numbers from the front into the app! Thanks for the support!

Marissa Brice
...

Considering the price of the Salt card is the same as a pack of batteries I really don't mind that I'd need to replace it once a year, if it cost more than a large pizza I would be annoyed but the fact it's so cheap makes it an easy choice for me

RL
...

@Umar, +1 I Agree

Kenny Duggal
...

I agree that having to replace the card when the battery dies is a bit of a dealbreaker for me.

Also, my friends are the kinds of people who will mess with my phone occasionally if they get their hands on it, even in front of me. We're talking messing with my Facebook statuses, messaging and calling girls, etc. One of the reasons we all have lock screens. Other than us growing up and not acting our shoe sizes (or finding new friends), I'm guessing Salt is just going to leave a phone open to that kind of thing, right?

Umar Khan
...

For me, not having replaceable batteries is a deal breaker.

Purchasing a product and having to replace the batteries every year is fine. But to have to replace the whole product it is not convenient nor cost effective.

Having replaceable batteries even if it adds a few mm to thickness of the card is acceptable to me.

How do you fellow backers feel about this?

SALT Team
...

Hey guys!

These are great questions and insights so far! To answer a few of the newer questions:

ALok - The battery life will be affected based on how often the SALT card and your phone interact. We tuned everything to a typical user so the actual numbers will vary slightly with varied use. We're definitely looking at different form factors for the hardware and a key fob/chain is one of the form factors we were looking at!

Abdul - Unfortunately, we won't be able to get two years out of the current hardware setup. We'll continue working on the battery life in future versions of the SALT card!

Chris - The main reason we aren't offering charging or replaceable batteries is because it would increase the price of the card and make considerably thicker. We're hoping to have a future version of the card that can be charged though!

David - Yes the SALT card will work with multiple devices at the same time! If you forget your wallet or SALT card, you can still get into your phone just by entering your regular PIN!

Eric - We'll be looking at a charging solution in future versions of the cards. Thanks for the links! We'll look into these solutions too!

Grant - Thanks for supporting us! The PIN unlocking on iOS is something we're working on right now. We're hoping to be able to offer a full version of SALT for iOS but as you know, it can be very difficult to do something like that on iOS. We'll keep everyone updated on our progress with this!

I backed within 37 seconds of seeing this I am incredibly curious as to how you can get such a closed fist company like apple to allow unlocking either apps or your phone with this. I wish you very very good luck if this goes through I'll be in awe

Have you guys looked at integrating something like these into the card and have the wireless charging option available. You could make the battery smaller and require more frequent charges to compensate for any size of the product

Can the salt work on two devices at once?

For example if I have a iPad and iPhone?

Also if I go out and forget my wallet / salt can I still unlock my phone with a passcode?

I see circular batteries involved in the card. I was wondering why you can't just make them generic batteries that can be replaced? That way we don't have to buy a new card every single time. It's quite a hassle, and this makes it way more convenient. I know there are a lot of generic types of circular batteries that are obtainable in the market, instead of creating your own custom one (though I know this would definitely fit your specification much easier... I'm thinking you can build around it?)

@Creator.
Any chance to make the battery life to last till 2 years?
The battery life is a concern.

ALok

Is battery life affected by how often it is connected/disconnected from the phone? Say I am away from my phone 90% of the day. Is there a chance of a keyfob version that includes a much larger battery?

Thanks Matthew! We'll definitely be improving the card down the road, especially with suggestions from our backers!

Sean, we haven't decided on a promotion yet but there's a definite possibility we'll reward our early backers!

after one year can we buy a replacement at the early bird price if we can prove we bought it at that price or is it a one time early bird price?

This project has a good potential. I hope you'll make the card even better than it is already :-)

Good luck on reaching your goal(s)!

Thanks for the support everyone! To answer some of the great questions:

After a year, the SALT card will have to be replaced. We chose not to incorporate a charging method so we could keep the thickness to a minimum while keeping the price very low. Our goal is to maintain our price point of $15 or less into the next year!

We're still working on some stretch goal ideas and will announce them shortly but we love your idea Sean!

Umar, if the card becomes faulty or stops working, you can still access the phone via your regular PIN. We don't want to lock you out if you forget your card either :)

Dave, Thanks so much for the support! We really appreciate it!

What a fantastic idea. All the best.

If the SALT card becomes faulty for what ever reason, is there still a way to get onto the phone i.e. A pin code to bypass the SALT app security?

will there be a stretch goal where we can have it engraved?

sean g

along the lines of battery we will be able to replace it or will we need to buy a new card or send in our current one to get the battery changed?

Connor O'Meara

What happens when the battery runs out? Do we have to buy another one at full price or will you offer a new one at a discounted price?

Hey Johnny!

Thanks a lot for being one of our first backers! Unfortunately, we don't have a backing level for two cards at $10 each but the next one up is two cards for just $12.50 each! I hope that works for you!
